What do you get if you blend a writing degree, six years as a physio helping athletes chase medals, and two years lurking design servers on Discord?

Me.

My name’s Lynn, and I’m a product designer and clinician with a non-traditional pathway - I actually started off as a professional dancer and writing graduate before getting it into my head that working for Cirque du Soleil might be a fun gig! So I went off and got my physio degree, spent some time in a biomechanics and human anatomy lab teaching and doing some research, then worked the elite sports circuit as a physiotherapist (mostly dance, circus, and gymnastics) before covid made its debut.

I’m finding that healthcare and design share common principles: Diagnose the problem, come up with a plan, communicate, then action that whilst keeping a close eye on metrics and goalposts. I might be doing less face-to-face work with patients these days, but I’m still asking questions, looking at data, making things work, and telling stories ✨

  • Oh, you like scrolling to the bottom do you?

    I respect that.

  • My dog's favourite activity is...

Anything he’s not meant to be doing.

  • I still do a bit of physio work because...

Figuring out problems is fun, and there’s always someone who needs a scan referral 🤷🏻‍♀️
